A power supply is required for all security cameras. In most security camera systems, power boxes and power converters are employed. Most installers will utilize a power adapter and splitter if installing four or fewer cameras, but a power distribution box from a reliable enclosure manufacturer if installing more than four cameras. When purchasing a power adapter, make sure it meets the voltage and amperage requirements for your cameras.
